User Roster

Your user roster is a list of all the people with access to your ZOLL emsCharts service or command facility. Members of your roster can be crew members, QA personnel, medical directors, administrators, hospital staff, or anyone else that needs access to your ZOLL emsCharts system.

Add new users to your roster

  1. Log into ZOLL emsCharts Web and use the Change Login drop-down list to select the service or command facility the new user needs access to.

  2. Go to Configuration > User Roster.

  3. Click ADD.

  4. Enter the person's first and last name and click SEARCH to see if they already have an ZOLL emsCharts account. If they do, select them by clicking the radial button next to their name and click SAVE. If they don't already have an account, scroll to the bottom of the Search Results list and click CREATE NEW USER.

    Note: If you do find a match for your new user, it is important to verify it is the intended user and not someone with a similar name since this person will have access to your ZOLL emsCharts system once you add them.

  5. Check the boxes for any security roles you want to assign to the new user.

    Note: You can add or edit security roles in the Security Roles code table.

  6. Fill out any other relevant information for the new user and click SAVE.

    Notes

    • If they need to QA your charts, make sure to assign them a QA Level.

    • If they are a crew member who will be on charts, they will need their state licensure information added.

    • Once a user is added to ZOLL emsCharts, they can login to ZOLL emsCharts Web and go to Configuration > 'User / My Account' to add or edit their own account information including licensures.

    Important! The system filters the list of crew members available to be documented on a chart and in the Duty Roster based on the 'Position' and 'Clinical Title' selections assigned to them in their profile. The 'Position' and 'Clinical Title' selections are configured in the 'User Titles' code table and there are three configurations per User Title that control the crew member filtering: 'Is Clinical', 'Show In Fire Lookups', and 'Show in PCR Lookups'.

    Service administrators should ensure that each User Title within in their service is configured appropriately and that each user on their roster has the correct options assigned within the 'Position' and 'Clinical Title' fields.

    Users who will not be available to select as a crew member in a chart or the Duty Roster:

    • Users who have a Position configured with 'Show In PCR Lookups' = 'No' and do not have a Clinical Title assigned.

    • Users who have a Clinical Title configured with 'Show In PCR Lookups' = 'No' and do not have a Position assigned.

    • Users who have both a Position and Clinical Title assigned that are configured with 'Show In PCR Lookups' = 'No'.

    Users who will be available to select as a crew member in a chart or the Duty Roster:

    • Users who do not have a Position or Clinical Title assigned.

    • Users who have a Position configured with 'Show In PCR Lookups' = 'Yes' and do not have a Clinical Title assigned.

    • Users who have a Clinical Title configured with 'Show In PCR Lookups' = 'Yes' and do not have a Position assigned.

    • Users who have both a Position and Clinical Title assigned that are configured with 'Show In PCR Lookups' = 'Yes'.

    Note: For users with both 'Show In Fire Lookups' and 'Show In PCR Lookups' = 'No', you will note the same expected result in the Duty Roster as in the charts. However, users with 'Show In Fire Lookups' = 'Yes' and 'Show In PCR Lookups' = 'No' will be available in the Duty Roster but not in charts.

  7. The new user can now log into ZOLL emsCharts with the security permissions provided by the security role(s) you assigned them.
